Delegate Nutter testifys in Salem at the VDOT hearings on the proposed safety rest area closures on I-81. He presented VDOTCommissioner David Ekern with a folder full of letters from his constituents opposing the proposed closures.

Delegate Nutter recently attended the dedication ceremony for the Western Virginia Regional Jail, set to start operating on March 9th. During the 2009 General Assembly session, Delegate Nutter co-patroned a budget amendment that was included in the final draft of the budget agreed to by both the House and Senate to restore $11 million in funding Governor Kaine cut for the construction of the jail.
